How to track ticket sales on the Insights tab
See how many tickets you've sold, your ticket revenue, how many tickets have been used and which discounts buyers applied.
Updated October 12, 2026
The Insights tab shows how ticket sales are going for one event. It is available once the event is published. On a draft you see Insights are available once the event is published.
Open Insights
- In Admin, go to Events and open the event.
- Open the Insights tab.
Insights load when you open the tab. They don't update by themselves while you have the tab open. Select Refresh to load the latest numbers.
Insights stay available after an event is canceled. Co-hosts can also see the Insights tab.
What the numbers mean
Tickets sold shows the number of tickets people hold out of all tickets for the event, for example "45 of 100 (45%)". Below it you see the same for each ticket type. Free tickets count as sold too.
Revenue is the total buyers paid for the tickets they currently hold. It is the ticket price after discounts, plus any extra cost from paid answer options on your questions. It doesn't include the service fee buyers pay at checkout, and no fees are subtracted. You only see Revenue if the event has paid tickets or paid answer options.
Tickets used shows how many sold tickets have been checked in, out of all sold tickets. A ticket counts as used when it is scanned at the door or checked in by hand on the Attendees tab.
Discounts applied shows the total amount buyers saved, split by discount code and membership discount. It only shows if the event's tickets have discounts.
You also see:
- A card for each checkbox and multiple choice question, with how many people chose each answer
- Saves: people who saved this event
- Resale waiting list: people waiting for a resale ticket and Active resale listings. Select View to see the waiting list.
Refunds
When you refund a ticket, it is no longer counted in Tickets sold or Revenue, and the ticket becomes available to buy again. See How to refund a ticket.
Insights, payouts and the attendee list
- Revenue is not your payout. Payouts are sent weekly, cover all your events and memberships, and the payout report shows fees and refunds. Use the payout report for accounting. See How to view payouts and download payout reports and How do Orbi fees and refunds affect your payouts?
- Insights show totals, the attendee list shows people. To see who bought tickets, who has checked in, or to export the list, open the Attendees tab. See How to view and export your attendee list.
Common issues
- "Unable to load insights." Select Try again.
- Numbers look out of date? Select Refresh.
- No Revenue card? The event only has free tickets.
- Only Saves shows? The event has no tickets yet. See How to add and edit tickets.
