What shows up in your home feed in the app

Learn which posts, events and other updates appear in your Orbi home feed, and what to do when something you expect is missing.

Updated October 1, 2026

Your home feed opens when you tap the Orbi logo in the middle of the tab bar. It is built for you from the pages, events, groups and people you are connected to.

Posts in your feed

You see posts from the last month that were published:

  • On pages you follow
  • On events you have a ticket for or have saved
  • On events hosted by an organization you are on the team of
  • In groups you are a member of
  • On memberships you have an active membership in
  • By people you follow, on their own profile
  • By students in the same section of your school as you, on their own profile
  • By you, or on your profile

Other things in your feed

Depending on your school and settings, the feed can also show new events from pages you follow, groups, discounts and job opportunities. Event updates and groups only appear after you have selected your school.

Refresh your feed

Pull down to refresh. If your feed is out of date, you see You're missing out! at the bottom. Tap it to load new content.

When you reach the end you see You're all caught up! with links to explore more, such as Explore your campus and Buy & sell course literature.

A post is missing from your feed

  • The post is older than one month. Open the page, event or group to see older posts.
  • You don't follow the page. Open the organization's page and tap Follow. See How to follow an organization in the app.
  • It's an event post. Event posts only show up if you have a ticket for the event or have saved it. You can always read them on the event page.
  • It's a membership post. Membership posts only show up while your membership is active.
  • The post was just published. Pull down to refresh.

You only see ticket releases

When Orbi temporarily limits some features, the home screen shows ticket releases instead of your full feed. Your feed comes back automatically when normal service is restored.
