How to follow an organization in the app

Follow an organization's page in the Orbi app to see its posts, new events and discounts in your feed, and stop following when you want.

In the app, organizations are called pages. When you follow a page, its updates show up in your home feed.

Follow a page

Open the organization's page. You can find it by searching in Search Orbi at the top of the screen, or from an event or post by the organization.
Tap Follow next to the follower count. The button changes to Following.

You can also browse pages on the Campus tab: tap Pages, then look under Explore pages.

What you get when you follow

Posts: posts on the page show up in your home feed for one month after they are published.
New events: published events the organization hosts or co-hosts appear in your feed once you have selected your school. Private events only show up if they are shared with a membership you have.
Discounts: discounts from the organization can appear in your feed.
Push notifications: the organization can choose to notify its followers when it posts. You only get these if push notifications are turned on for Orbi on your phone. See How to manage notifications in the app.

Following doesn't make you a member. Your name shows in the page's follower list, which anyone can open by tapping the follower count.

Stop following

Open the page and tap Following. You can also open the menu in the top-right corner and tap Stop following.

See the pages you follow

On the Campus tab, tap Pages and look under Following. Tap View all to see the full list, Pages you're following.
On your profile, under Following, tap the number of pages.

Other people can see which pages you follow on your profile.

You don't see a Follow button

If you are on the organization's team, the page shows Edit profile instead of Follow. You can still follow the page from the menu in the top-right corner. See How to post as your organization in the app.
