You can send private messages to other people on Orbi. Chats are between people. You can't message an organization, and you can't chat as an organization.
Open your messages
Tap the chat bubble icon at the top of the home screen. A number on the icon shows your unread chats. Your chats are listed under Messages.
Start a chat
- In Messages, tap the pencil button and search for the person in Search users.
- Or open someone's profile and tap Message.
Write in Message... and tap the send button. To add images, tap the image button.
Edit, copy or delete a message
Press and hold a message, then tap Copy message. For your own messages you can also tap Edit message or Delete message. Deleted messages show as Message was deleted.
Mute or mark a chat
Open the chat and tap the menu in the top-right corner, or tap the menu next to the chat in Messages:
- Mute: stop notifications for 8 hours, 1 week or Always. Muted chats show This conversation is muted. Tap Unmute to turn notifications back on.
- Mark as read or Mark as unread.
You don't get notifications for new messages
If the chat shows To receive notifications for new messages, please enable push notifications in your device settings., tap Enable notifications and turn on notifications for Orbi. Also check that the chat isn't muted.
A message failed to send
Messages that didn't send show Failed to send. Tap Try again, or press and hold the message and tap Retry sending message or Delete message. If several messages failed, Messages shows Your messages failed to send at the top. Tap it to find them.
