How to buy resale tickets and get alerts when an event is sold out

When an event is sold out, other attendees can still put their tickets up for resale, if the organizer allows it. You can buy these tickets in the Orbi app or on orbi.io.

Buy a resale ticket

1. Open the event in the Orbi app.
2. Tap View tickets. If the event isn't sold out yet, tap Get tickets instead.
3. Open the Resale tickets tab. The number on the tab shows how many resale tickets are available.
4. Tap Buy on the ticket you want.
5. On Confirm your order, check the details and tap Reserve Ticket.
6. Under Payment method, choose how to pay and tap Complete purchase.

You buy one resale ticket at a time. A resale ticket costs the same as the original ticket purchase, plus any service fee shown at checkout. Like a regular purchase, the ticket is only held for a few minutes while you pay.

If the ticket comes with answers to the organizer's questions, you see "This ticket includes the original buyer's answers."

If someone else buys the ticket first, you see "Sorry, someone else bought this ticket" and the list updates.

Get resale ticket alerts

If there are no resale tickets right now, you see "No resale tickets are available right now." You can ask to be notified when one is listed:

1. On the Resale tickets tab, or on the event page, tap Alert me.
2. Choose Email, Push notification or both. Push notifications need to be turned on for Orbi in your phone settings.
3. Tap Confirm.

To change how you're notified, tap Edit alerts. To stop the alerts, tap Edit alerts and then Unsubscribe.

On orbi.io

You can also buy resale tickets and set up alerts in your browser.

1. Open the event on orbi.io.
2. If the event shows Sold out or Sales closed, select the button that shows how many resale tickets there are, for example 2 resale tickets available. If tickets are still on sale, select Get tickets and open the Resale tickets tab.
3. On the Resale tickets tab, select Buy on the ticket you want.
4. Check the order, select Reserve Ticket and pay. See How to buy tickets on orbi.io.

If there are no resale tickets, select Alert me on the event page or on the Resale tickets tab, choose Email, and select Confirm. Push notification requires the app. You need to sign in to reserve a resale ticket or set up alerts.

Good to know

• The Resale tickets tab is only shown until the event ends, and not for canceled events.
• When ticket sales have closed, the event page shows Sales closed. If resale tickets are available, it says "You can still buy resale tickets from other attendees."
