How to send a message to event attendees

This guide shows you how to post an update on your event and send a notification to everyone who has a ticket.

Updated October 1, 2026

You message attendees by posting on the event and turning on notifications for attendees.

Steps

  1. In Admin, go to Events and open the event.
  2. Open the Posts tab.
  3. Write your message. To add images, select Upload images.
  4. Under Notifications, choose Notify Attendees.
  5. Select Post, then Publish now or Schedule post.

The post appears on the event page. Everyone with a ticket to the event who has the Orbi app installed gets a push notification about it.

Tip: Use this for last-minute updates, venue changes, or pre-event reminders.

Good to know

  • Notifications are off by default. If you don't choose Notify Attendees, the post is published without a push notification.
  • For public events, you can choose Notify Followers instead to reach everyone who follows your organization. Private events only have Notify Attendees.
  • The Posts tab is available once the event is published.
  • Co-hosts can also post on the event.
