How does Orbi Pay work?
Wondering how Orbi Pay handles ticket and membership revenue for your organisation? Here's the answer.
Updated October 1, 2026
Orbi Pay is the built-in payment system that lets your organisation collect money from ticket and membership sales. It runs on Stripe and requires a one-time setup under Payments in Admin. See How to set up Orbi Pay.
Payouts: Payouts are sent weekly when sales were made the previous week. The money goes to the bank account (IBAN) you registered during setup. You can see every completed payout under Payments in Admin.
Sales reporting: Each payout has its own payout report (PDF). It breaks the payout down by organisation, event, membership and ticket type, and lists every transaction, including fees and refunds. See How to view payouts and download payout reports.
Refunds: You can refund a ticket from the event's Attendees tab in Admin. The ticket price is refunded to the buyer, but the service fee the buyer paid is not. The refunded amount is taken from your Orbi Pay balance, so it reduces your next payout. See How do Orbi fees and refunds affect your payouts?
Shared payment accounts: Some organisations have their payments managed by another organisation. In that case the Payments page shows Payments are managed by followed by that organisation's name, and payouts go to that organisation's account.
