Create an organization page

Set up your student organization page so students can find you, learn about your organization, and access important information.

Introduction

Before you can start hosting events, selling tickets, and engaging with users on Orbi, you need an organization page. A complete and well-structured page makes it easier for users to find your organization, understand what you do, and access important links and contact information.

You need an Orbi account first. See Create an account.

Step 1: Start a new organization page

Sign in on orbi.io and open the For organizers menu at the top of the page, then choose Create organization page.

If you already manage an organization, the top of the page shows your organization's name instead. Open the menu next to it. In Admin, you find the same option in the organization menu in the top-left corner.

Step 2: Fill in the form

Enter:

  • Name: your organization's name, up to 100 characters
  • Country
  • School / University: this helps students find your page and its events

If your school is not in the list, click Missing your school? to email us.

Click Continue. By continuing, you agree to Orbi’s Terms & Conditions for organizations.

You become an Admin of the new organization.

Step 3: Open your page

When your page is created, click My organization page. On your organization page, click Enter Admin to start setting it up.

Step 4: Add your logo and cover image

In Admin, go to Organization page and add:

  • A logo, cropped to a square
  • A cover image, cropped to a wide banner

Step 5: Add your organization details

Fill in your organization information:

  • A description of your organization
  • Contact details (email and phone)
  • Links, such as your website and social media

See How to edit your organization page for each step.

Step 6: Review your page

Click View organization page to see your page as students see it. They should be able to quickly find:

  • Information about your organization
  • Important links
  • Contact details

Step 7: Invite your team members

Invite your team members so they can help manage your organization page and host events. In Admin, go to Team and click Invite. See How to invite a team member.

Before you publish public events

Orbi reviews new organizations. Until your organization has been reviewed, you can publish private events, but not public ones.

Your page is now ready

Once your page is complete, users will be able to identify your organization easily and access the information they need. You can now jump on the next step to get started.
