Des légendes urbaines disent qu’en traversant le Tunnel d’Urashima, ses vœux les plus chers se voient exaucés en échange de quelques années de sa propre vie. Pour Tono Kaoru, qui a perdu sa sœur dans un accident, se retrouver devant le fameux tunnel n’est pas un hasard. Quand la nouvelle étudiante tout juste transférée, Anzu Hanaki, lui propose de l’aider à réaliser son souhait en traversant le tunnel, Tono ne se pose qu’une seule question : Que demandera-t-elle en échange ? Le film d’animation The Tunnel to Summer, the Exit of Goodbyes est tiré du light novel portant le même nom écrit par Mei Hachimoku et publié en 2019.
