About Orbi

Building for both sides of student life.

Orbi helps students discover events, join organizations, and explore opportunities. We give the people behind campus life tools to sell tickets, manage memberships, and keep their communities informed.

More than 300,000 students have joined Orbi, with active student organizations in nine countries.

It began with a gap on campus.

Events were happening. Organizations were putting in the work. But their invitations weren’t always reaching students.

David Maars noticed that students’ online habits were changing, while organizers were still relying on channels that were becoming less effective at reaching them.

The idea was straightforward: bring campus events into one place, with an app for students and tools for the people organizing them.

With roots at Chalmers University, Orbi became an independent company in 2020.

These experiences belong together. The student attending a welcome dinner today might be organizing it next year. We build for both sides, and for the handover between them.

From Chalmers to nine countries.

Orbi grew through student communities in Sweden, Denmark, and Norway before expanding in Finland, Germany, and the Netherlands during 2025.

In 2026, our reach extended to the United States, Slovakia, and Switzerland.

Today, more than 300,000 students have joined Orbi. Each new campus brings its own traditions, organizations, and ideas about what student life can be.

The details matter when you’re the one organizing.

A committee might be preparing its first big event. Its treasurer might be managing ticket income for the first time. Next year, another team will take over.

That shapes how we think about Orbi. Getting started should be understandable. Everyday tasks should be straightforward. Information should be easy to find and pass on.
