Try Windsurfing with UVK! 🌊

🌊 Come Try Windsurfing with UVK! 🌊 Join us at Alnäs on September 19th for a day of windsurfing with UVK (Uppsala Vindsurfingklubb)! Whether you’ve never tried windsurfing before or already have some experience, this is a great opportunity to get out on the water, learn something new, and meet other people from UppX. The day will include a mix of theory, land-based exercises, and plenty of time on the water. We’ll also have a break halfway through the day to reflect on what we’ve learned before heading back out for another session. 📅 When: September 19th, 10:00 AM–3:00 PM 📍 Where: Alnäs, on the grass by the large pier. We’ll meet at 9:45 AM at UVK’s clubhouse. 🌊 Schedule: • 9:45 – Meet at UVK’s clubhouse • Short introduction to windsurfing theory • Exercises on land • Windsurfing on the water • Break on land and time for reflection • Windsurfing on the water • 15:00 – End of the event 👥 Spots: 12 participants 🎒 What to bring: • Swimwear • Towel • Sunscreen (if it’s sunny) • Wetsuit/water shoes if you have your own – otherwise, equipment can be borrowed • Lunch/food for the day 💰 Cost: 650 SEK per participant ❗ Participation is at your own risk. ❗ Cancellation & Refund Policy You can cancel your registration and receive a full refund up until September 16th at 12:00. After this deadline, registrations are binding and the participation fee is non-refundable, as UppX needs to confirm the final number of participants with UVK. If you can no longer attend after the cancellation deadline, you may transfer your spot to another UppX member, provided the organisers approve the change. If your spot can be filled by someone on the waiting list, we will refund your participation fee. 🌦️ Weather cancellation: UVK reserve the right to cancel the event if there is insufficient wind for windsurfing or a risk of thunder/lightning.
