Welcome the March Union Meeting! Every year, according to the statues, Alnarp Student Union shall hold four Union Meetings. One in March, May, October and the last one in December. Union Meetings are general assemblies open to all members of the Union. At these meetings, members can: ✅ Receive information about ongoing activities in the Union ✅ Vote on decisions and proposals ✅ Run for available positions in the Union All students at Campus Alnarp are welcome to attend, but only members of Alnarps Studentkår have the right to vote and hold a position. PROPOSITIONS AND MOTIONS Propositions are proposals from the Union Board. These must be made available to members four weekdays before a regular or Grand Union Meeting, or two weekdays before an Extra Union Meeting. Motions are proposals submitted by members. All members of the Union have the right to write motions. Motions must be submitted in writing to the Seceretary at sek_ask@stud.slu.se no later than ten weekdays before a regular or Grand Union Meeting, or three weekdays before an Extra Union Meeting. Deadline: March 11th Motions shall be made available to members four weekdays before a regular or Grand Union Meeting, or two weekdays before an Extra Union Meeting. To apply for a position: 1. Write your full name in the Excel document next to the position you are interested in. 2. Attend the meeting. If you have signed up in advance, the Nomination Committee (valberedningen) will present you as their proposed candidate. If there are more candidates than available spots, a vote will be held during the meeting. 3. You can also express interest during the meeting by raising your hand. 4. If you are unable to attend, you may send a proxy to the meeting. There will also be coffee and fika served during the event. Participants are welcome to wear their Braxer. UNION GATHERING Afterwards, we will walk together to the Union House to enjoy soup prepared by one of the councils. We will also celebrate the union members who receive their union names after one year of service for the Union. It’s also BYOB (Bring Your Own Beverage) during the gathering.
