LESS Kidnapping 3.0: OrientationLESS We are back with LESS Kidnapping to give you the opportunity to enjoy a hike with some extra spice - dropping you somewhere in the wilderness with a mission. No phone. No GPS. Just your instincts and a few rudimentary clues. Your mission? Find your way to the night’s campsite - day or night, rain or shine. WHAT TO EXPECT: We will meet at AF Borgen around 7:00 am for a brief introduction. Then we will take you to your drop-off points somewhere in Skåne to let the navigation-endeavour begin. In teams of two we will drop you off at the starting point of your adventure. Except for a very undetailed map and occasional hints, you’ll be on your own from there on until we meet at the campsite, which should take a few hours. The distances covered on that day should range from 15 to 25 km, depending on drop off point and how well the navigating works. At the campsite we will enjoy the rest of the evening around the bonfire, share all the fun stories from our day and have dinner. After a good night’s sleep in the shelter or a tent we will hike ~15 km back so that we return to Lund for the afternoon. PACKING LIST: Some absolutely mandatory items first, because darkness and winter conditions make things a bit more unforgiving: • Warm and durable clothing (shoes, weather proof jacket, thermal underwear, rain gear, warm socks) • Headtorch!!! • A charged phone, for the case of emergency • Sleeping bag - expect night to be quite coldFurther items: • Sleeping mat • Tent, if you have • Hiking backpack - leave some space for the food we will split together • Good hiking shoes (that will keep your feet warm and dry) • Blister pads are recommended • Extra socks • Lunch for day 1 • Lunch box/plate/bowl, mug, and utensils for eating • Gas cooker, if you have • Snacks • Water & water bottle (we can’t refill at the campsite, 3-4 liters per person is optimal, but we will survive on less) • Plastic bag for trash • Toilet paper • Blindfold, if you are in for the best kidnapping experience ;] • Drawing material (pens, pencil …) to enhance your map _______ * You need to be a member of Lunds Extremsportarsällskap and the facebook group LESS Members to join the event.
