Join EUROAVIA Leuven for an exclusive visit to arcsec, the Leuven-based space company that builds some of the most precise star trackers and attitude determination & control systems (ADCS) for small satellites.
Founded in 2020 as a KU Leuven spin-off, arcsec develops star trackers, reaction wheels and complete ADCS solutions with flight heritage on missions such as ESA's SIMBA CubeSat. Every flight model is assembled and tested in their own cleanroom, and they partner with ESA and the European Innovation Council on projects like DeDUST (space debris detection using star trackers).
What to expect:
• An introduction to arcsec and how satellites know where they are pointing
• A look behind the scenes at their products and test facilities
• The chance to meet the engineers and ask your questions about working in the space industry
📅 Tuesday 27 October 2026, 14:00 – 15:00
📍 arcsec, Philipssite 5, 3001 Leuven (Heverlee)
