We are excited to invite you to a beautiful one-day hike through the alpine landscapes of Valais, where we will discover one of Switzerland’s most spectacular natural treasures: the Aletsch Glacier.
As the longest glacier in the Swiss Alps, the Aletsch Glacier offers incredible panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Join us for a refreshing day in nature, great company, and unforgettable memories with your fellow students, accompanied by your favorite ESN staff!
We’ve carefully selected an 11 km hike with 700 m of elevation gain, offering a rewarding challenge for participants with a moderate level of fitness. For those looking for an extra challenge, the hike can be extended to 12 km with 800 m of elevation gain, reaching the summit of Eggishorn and offering impressive panoramic views of the Aletsch Glacier and the surrounding Alps.
We will meet at 7:15 am on October 18th in the main hall of Lausanne station and go back around 10pm. The price includes a small breakfast and a transportation to Fiescheralp and back to Lausanne.
Please make sure to bring something for lunch, enough water (2l minimum) and to wear appropriate shoes for mountain hiking!!
