LESS Weekend Ågelsjön feat. UppX This October, it’s time for another LESS weekend! Get ready for a crisp autumn weekend filled with granite crags, campfire vibes and awesome company. This time, we’re heading north to Ågelsjön, outside of Norrköping - one of Sweden’s premier climbing destinations! And that is not all! There are also a lot of beautiful running and hiking trails nearby if you want to stretch your legs. To make things even better, we’ll be joining forces with our friends from UppX (Uppsalas Extreme Sports Association) for a joint trip. On Friday evening, we’ll kick off the weekend properly with a sittning and dinner together with UppX! Also expect fun games and friendly competitions throughout the weekend to get to know the Uppsala squad. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned climber, or just want to spend a weekend running and hiking, this trip is for you. We will be setting up top ropes so anyone can join and climb safely regardless of experience. For those looking for more of a challenge, Ågelsjön also offers fantastic sport and trad routes. All LESS-specific info will be sent out in the “LESS chat”-group, so make sure to join it: https://chat.whatsapp.com/ClzPM4yGcL5HSWDuq2eQV2 Accommodation: We’ll be camping out in nature right near the crags! You will need to bring a tent, sleeping pad, and a warm sleeping bag (or team up with a buddy who has space in their tent). If you do not have the required equipment, do not hesitate to contact us via email (lundsextremsportarsallskap@gmail.com)! Alternatively, pay a visit to Fritidsbanken where you can borrow equipment (free!). Food: We will provide food for dinner on Friday and Saturday, as well as lunch and breakfast Saturday and Sunday. Please bring your own lunch for Friday, or buy something on the way to Ågelsjön. We will cook breakfast and dinner together, but will need some help from people with stoves in order to prepare the food fast enough. So please fill in if you have a stove! Climbing gear Please bring your own climbing gear if you have it. If you’re missing anything (like a harness or shoes), LESS can help to rent a limited amount of gear - just reach out to us beforehand so we can sort you out! Transport We are planning to travel by private cars, which means we’ll need driver support! Priority for tickets will be given to those who can bring a car. Gas is not included in the ticket price and will be split among the passengers in each car. If we don’t get enough private cars, we will rent rental cars, though please note that using rental cars will increase the price. Departure We meet up outside AF-borgen early Friday morning at 08:00 to load the cars and hit the road! We’ll spend the weekend climbing and hanging out, heading back home to Lund on Sunday afternoon/evening. We hope you are excited and ready for great climbing, a cozy sittning, autumn camping, and meeting awesome people from both Lund and Uppsala!
